US Government Posted $3B Surplus In January :: <div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p>The U.S. government posted <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.fms.treas.gov/mts/mts.pdf">a $3 billion surplus in January</a> - the first monthly surplus since 2008 - aided by last-minute "fiscal cliff" deal investors trying to beat higher taxes in 2013, and by the expiration of the payroll tax cut.</p>
<p>In January, federal government revenue totaled $272.2 billion and expenses totaled $269.3 billion.</p>
<p>The U.S. government posted a $1.1 trillion deficit for fiscal 2012, which ended Sept. 30, 2012.</p>

Coca-Cola Addiction Contributed To Death Of Natasha Harris, New Zealand Woman Who Drank 10 Liters of Soda A Day, Coroner Says :: <div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p>An addiction to Coca-Cola was a contributing factor in the death of 31-year-old Natasha Harris of New Zealand, according to a coroner's report.</p>
<p>Harris, who drank up to 10 liters of Coke a day and suffered from drug-like withdrawal symptoms if she didn't get her fix, died of a cardiac arrhythmia possibly caused by an addiction to Coca-Cola, the coroner's report said.</p>
<p>The 31-year-old from Invercargill, New Zealand, was taking in twice the recommended caffeine consumption and 11 times more sugar than is recommended through her Coca-Cola addiction.</p></div></div></div>
